About the Band
Klezkonnection came on to the Toronto scene in 2006 and has grown in size to become Toronto’s largest community klezmer band. Under the skilled leadership of clarinetist Jonno Lightstone, Klezkonnection has built up a large repertoire of classic klezmer tunes, chasidic melodies, wedding horas and Yiddish favourites, all with a modern twist. Klezkonnection performs regularly at festivals, restaurants, weddings, retirement homes, and charitable events. Klezkonnection has garnered popular acclaim for its performances at the Ashkenaz Festival of Yiddish Culture, Jewish Music Week and Jewish Folk's Telling Jokes, to name a few. Klezkonnection plays traditional klezmer music that’s guaranteed to tickle your heart.
